Contradiction

Alex W. Just such wonderful, moody and atmosphere-setting music. Theatrical, achieved without the use of symphonic elements (a blessing, given the over-saturation of sympho-metal out there).
Feels a bit like Celtic Frost à la Monotheist, Triptykon, Secrets of the Moon and a slowed down Behemoth, but maintains integrity as unique and standalone.
Recommended for fans of the aforementioned bands, or those looking for some brooding, dark and heavy occult-laden goodness. Favorite track: Until Our Poison Devours Us.

@CelticFrosty Schammasch’s Contradiction is a triumphant, almost joyful album of Luciferian poetry that incorporates diverse instrumentation, discernable death metal growls, and myriad metal styles with a consistent black metal undercurrent. It’s an unrelenting and thorough expansion on a single idea and a limited palate of sounds that are stretched to their very limits. Favorite track: Split My Tongue.

MEGAHAWK DUANE II Not so much a gem as an ancient temple for some otherworldly daemon buried in a churning malestrom in the Atlantic. It's good. Favorite track: Serpent Silence.
