The atmosphere Schammasch create in their music seeks for its equal. Massive, mystic and as dark as it gets. Simply one of the best bands out there.

An album I've loved and listened to for years. The sound is massive, overwhelming, like echoes from the halls of a decrepit god seeping through to our mortal realm. A masterpiece.

Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once.....

The album description mentions an “emotional apex.” That’s really the difference between Stare and the band’s previous albums. Ulcerate was always supremely technically proficient. I just didn’t care all that much. Their growth has come from making music you will feel.
